The Heroes of Donin arrived on an odd island where hoards of birds would attack whenever they were in the open.
After staying safe in a tiny hut during the day, and using the night to explore the island, the party was unable to gleam any notably important information. The party attempted to poison the birds to wipe them all out at once, but the spell cast to cause it lacked the power needed to make a significant enough impact.
Eventually, the party made a desperate attempt to flee the island, and were attacked by a giant Rok they had seen flying around earlier. A ferocious battle ensued, and the party was able to sail away from the island that they forever referred to as "Bird Island"
Lyrics
Come on and grab your things we're going away
To an island and it's private and it's free to stay
It's not on the map, but it's right on the way
We can watch the birds and have a super awesome day
They got beaches and sand and skies and waves
And all the different kinds of birds that have ever been made
And if you park your boat, they'll make sure you stay
Cause they'll scratch and they'll peck if you try to get away
Bird island. It's an island for birds and trees
But not for you and certainly not for me
On this island you gotta fly to be free
But please don't try or they'll chase you across the sea
The island seems to be full of mystical lore
From the carvings on the stone to the Roks that soar
But when all the birds attack you, you just stay indoors
In your magical hut being magically bored
The beautiful island just could not distract us
From our current situation that is rather disastrous
We tried casting a contagion but we just got the bird flu
We're making a break for it it hopefully we get through
Bird island. We're fighting all the birds
Of all the world it's so many birds it's absurd
And now a storm blows and lightning strikes the boat
As if the god of birds himself was coming for our souls
Will this really be the end of all our days
As all the birds in existence fall like rain and
Seek to take us right off this mortal plane
We stopped for fun but were only given pain
To this day, we don't know how we got away
But we know that we'll never return to the island of birds
