This song is dedicated to my best friend who passed away. We shared the same dream—to make it in music. We were high school dropouts, born into struggle, but full of hope. Life forced him to choose between survival and the dream. I was lucky—I got a job abroad. He wasn’t.
The last time we spoke was two years ago. After that, I never heard from him again—until I learned he was gone. Poverty pushed him to the edge. He became a young father. Got involved in the streets. Until one day, he was taken from us.
They said he fought back, but I know him. He didn’t choose that life—he was just trying to survive.
So I wrote this song to honor our memories, our laughter, our pain. And most of all, our dream. I’ll keep it alive, for both of us.
