In 2023 I lost my step dad and grandad within 6 and a half weeks of each other...and I had got into a dark place where I was facing daily struggles to the point that I almost gave up everything. I was also soo heartbroken by grief. I was really Fond with my grandad he was always consistent in my life and we shared soo many memories, he was also my rock after my nan passed away 25 years ago..that was the last hardest loss I went through and I was only 11. Yes I am an older artist, 36 with 3 kids and in my final year at university studying commercial music. Music is what kept me going, and my children. but music was a place that I could be me and express myself in ways that I was struggling.. I gig at the weekends to, and I was also helping my mum who had lost her husband (stepdad) - the love of her life..seeing her heartbroken also broke me..he was an amazing stepdad. I miss them both..
