The story of Jamateurs began in Nublu Club in New York City. Percussionist Ilker Ciraci had a vision; he called his friends up one day and Jamateurs started playing the late night shift on Monday nights at Nublu. All coming from different backgrounds, this accidental synergy they were brewing at those jams made the boys kept wanting to play more. When they decided to do their first recording, the guitar player and singer Emre Y. brought in this text he put together from a Youtube talk by Dr. Jordan Peterson and that's when the idea of their first track 'POTENTIAL' was conceived.
