This song is about the true story of a murdered child in 1876, she was only about 6 years old and was murdered about 20 yards from her front door coming back from school. The murder of this innocent child made national news at the time. It happened in Blackburn Lancashire. The child was undiscovered for several days until a Preston man offered to Police that his dog, Morgan would find the child with some scent. Morgan did and a Barber was arrested and a local man with mental ill health who was deemed the likely perpetrator de-arrested. Police introduced Police dogs following this crime. Police attempted to use dogs to find Jack the Ripper following this crime clearly with no success.
