This is combination of two songs. The first is about arrogance and greed, and the second is about fear and self doubt. I wrote them independently, then realized that joining them together would create a Yin-Yang relationship. It could be two different parts of the same person, the outward and the inward; the part that is shown and the part that is felt. Or it could be two people, the second being the victim of the first.
