I'm enrolled and in week 6 of the American Songwriter Foundations course. In week six, the exercise was to do sensory writing. We had the option of picking any one of the five senses and then write for 10 minutes without thinking and to jot down whatever came to mind. I chose: SILENCE. I chose this because when things get quiet, my mind starts to dig up all sorts of memories, feelings, etc... After the 10 minutes were up, we had to start constructing a song.
