Long song but the journey is worth a listen, especially if you've ever experienced toxic relationship situations. This one is scheduled to be released to platforms February 27th. This song is a piece of my soul. The lyrics are based on my own real, lived experience with psychological abuse and stalking - the kind that doesn't leave physical marks but leaves you looking over your shoulder. I chose the "Empowered Edition" as the title because I decided to give my story the ending it deserved. While the finale was added for cinematic dramatization, it represents the moment I finally reclaimed my power and refused to be a victim any longer. It took 489 iterations to get the "haunted" vocal tone and the cinematic tension just right. I hope this resonates with anyone who’s ever had to find their own way out of the dark.
