Koncept City dives into the mind of Ghostboyrj to get a taste of what’s to come creatively from the artist. Featuring appearances from Switch B & Matches, we enter a dream-like world through the spacy mix of instrumentals that sound like they were taken straight from the “Golden Era” of Hip Hop (90’s era). Each song taps into a different theme including a strong passion for the music conveyed through a young & hungry MC. Along with some recurring references to marijuana, this album focuses on self-awareness of one's abilities and characteristics & a preservation of the art of Hip Hop. The artwork represents how I wanna change the current norm by adding a classic style of Hip Hop to Toronto’s diverse pool of musical genres. This album infuses dream-like samples with many variations of drum breaks with a seamless flow of lyrics that help put everything together with a little bit of soul.
