"Acid Armour" functions as a high-stakes sonic metaphor for the vulnerability inherent in modern, performative relationships. The song explores how we construct a cold, defensive exterior—a literal "acid armour"—to navigate the "snare of barbed wire" that constitutes contemporary life. I frame this protective mechanism not as a genuine solution, but as a "Trump card" that ultimately leads to losing my own identity, leaving me "strung out like a musical snare". The track captures the irony of feeling like I have "everything in the bag" while realizing I am the one trapped inside it, ultimately highlighting the loss of control and the desperate, failed attempt to be truly recognized.more
