Picture the scene. It was an early spring day. I'm at the pub with my Dad and Sister. Out of a shop across the road walks a man in a balaclava, holding a breadknife. He nonchalantly walks towards the pub in a decidedly unthreatening way. He holds the door for a girl carrying some drinks and makes his way inside. Two minutes later the police turn up, all Blues and Twos. Two minutes after that a red face bloke, pepper-spray tears streaming down his face, is escorted away.
