The song is about being young and insecure, and constantly battling with the monkey on the shoulder telling you "you're not worth any thing, and nobody likes you". It's the sensation of trying to get rid of it, when you're influenced by alcohol or drugs, but find out it's there the next morning - punishing you all over again. This is the second track in a row telling the story about ill fated Gloriamore
