This spoken word piece was written towards the end of me preparing for my album. I was inspired by the bible scripture John 1:5 " The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." I resonated with this scripture because I've overcome so much pain in my life. I will not be consumed by darkness, because the light of Jesus will shine through me. This piece that I wrote is telling my story through a different viewpoint.
