Home, for me, is a song about upbringing and childhood trauma. This song shows how going through rough situations can create dilemmas in our lives and skew our sense of belonging.
The song expands the saying "home is where the heart is"... because it’s more than that.
We love our parents, brothers and sisters, and children the most, but at times that only furthers the gap in communication out fear.
Leaving us with an empty feeling.
But, when we create an environment where we can live and love, in spite of that, and we find ways to express our pains and passions... without fear of harsh discipline or rejection.
We create a place we can really feel is our home.more
