The song is about lifestyle choices - we might dream about big city life, but for some of us, a more peaceful life may be a better choice in the end. Small Town Lights - Lyrics by Juha Partanen This place doesn't glow on the horizon It doesn't beckon or lure you in It's just a candle among the neon A safe haven from fickle winds Am I alive or cast aside Our points of view we must decide A better life the other side Our wants and needs just might collide, oh No big city nights just small town lights Stars up in the skies my neon signs No big city nights just small town lights So beautiful you are among the stars No big city nights just small town lights But there is a solitary comfort There is a pulse and a soul to this place A sanctuary and it's a fort It doesn't matter what outsiders say Am I alive or cast aside Our points of view we must decide A better life the other side Our wants and needs just might collide, oh No big city nights just small town lights Stars up in the skies my neon signs No big city nights just small town lights So beautiful you are among the stars No big city nights just small town lights No big city just a small town No big city just a small town No big city just a small town No big city just a small town No big city nights No big city nights just small town lights Stars up in the skies my neon signs No big city nights just small town lights So beautiful you are among the stars No big city nights just small town lights No big city just a small town No big city just a small townmore
