I wrote this song about a very real battle I have with the flesh—the tension between wanting God to use what He’s given me and wanting to be noticed for it. I genuinely want these songs to point people to Jesus, but I also know how easily pride, ambition, and the desire for recognition can hide behind good intentions. It’s really a prayer that God would keep the fire to reach people, while putting to death the part of me that wants the glory for myself.more
