I asked him to provide some background on what the song is about and he said this: “It’s a song I wrote about 20 years ago. It’s about an 8-hour conversation I had with a girl I happened to take a seat next to on a Greyhound bus going from LA to Phoenix. I was about 16 at the time. I believe we were around the same age. The song is her story.”more
