Being a hobby DJ for 15 odd years, I never had the luxury of pursuing music production due to my busy schedule. This pandemic affected all my businesses and with a ray of hope, music helped me stay sane. As a blessing in disguise @djrawking , offered me to teach the art of music production. I am truly honoured to have learned the skill from the maestro himself. He was very patient in answering all my obtuse questions and motivated me into releasing my first single. Indian classical music has always been an inquisitive form of harmony for me. It has always been a dream to create something where I'd be able to fuse the true soul of Indi classical with electronic sounds. After working tediously at my little studio, I came up with this original composition celebrating the true spirit of Dravidians. I present you, 'Curd Rice'. It is simply an attempt to represent the true spirit of South India and its rich culture. The cover art is designed by Owl Solutions which is inspired by “Kolam”, an ancient art form especially followed in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Kolam is created by forming geometrical designs around dots. It represents the happiness, positivity and liveliness of a household. It is intended to welcome Prosperity and Good Vibes. more
