"Cross My Heart" is a song that speaks to the people that are battling through toxic relationships. The chorus resonates the cycle/chant that people experience while deciding to continue on in the seemingly never ending cycle of a toxic relationship. The song was inspired by witnessing toxic relationships throughout the years and seeing how damaging the pattern can be. I started writing the song from the chorus first and figured the rest out from there. I'm sure there are many people who have gone through this or at least know others that have.
