Off the upcoming album "MERCY" by Gods Of Wrath releasing early 2027. "Never Enough" is an aggressive industrial rapcore and metalcore anthem confronting the growing divide between extreme wealth and poverty. Told through the eyes of an exhausted working-class parent struggling to survive, the song exposes the stark contrast between those who can never accumulate enough wealth and those who never have enough to meet their basic needs. - Mastered by mixea.com Lyrics: There's never enough! There's never enough! There's never enough! Six in the morning My scanner keeps flashing red Three hours of sleep and The quota still hangs over my head We move thousands of boxes They track our numbers with their pen Give us some pizza, claim we're family Then cut our hours again My pay hits Friday morning By that evening it's gone Rent takes the biggest bite then The overdraft fees pile on My kid asks what's for dinner I can't look her in the eye Fridge lights hit the empty shelfs I tell her somehow we'll get by I give them my whole life Somehow I'm still in debt I ask where's my slice of that corporate pie They say "There's nothing left." There's never enough! There's never enough! There's never enough! There's never enough! Why is there never enough? Saturday I'm catering On the forty-second floor Walk past the marble, past the mirrors Through a gold-trimmed door A man’s name is on the building He takes a bow beneath some lights He bought the block on Tuesday Says they're eating good tonight His watch could pay my rent for years He wears it just for show They've bought up half the neighborhood But still there's “room to grow” They barely touch the desserts While our kids starve in their beds Claim, "The market’s looking hungry And "Labor’s whining again.” They want another billion We just want the kids to eat They own the whole damn world We can't afford the time to sleep There's never enough! There's never enough! There's never enough! There's never enough! Why is there never enough? Another tax break for the rich Medical bills for us to pay Another golden parachute While our pensions drain away They swear the wealth will trickle down Just give it time to flow But their money piles high And we're always stuck below They write the rules and rig the game Always telling us it's fair We run the machine they claim to own Never getting our fare share When we ask why working hard Still leaves us far behind They say, "Just work a little more," As they rob us blind They run all their equations Ensuring we all pay the cost They say it's all just business And write-off everything we've lost They can blame the market They can swear they had no say But we warned them what was happening And they signed off on it anyway!!! You all took the profits! And left us with the debt! Hoarding wealth up to the sky! As we fight over what's left! You fed the market! And starved the street! You built this fucking table! And now we're here to eat!!! Eat the rich! Eat the rich! Eat the rich! Eat the rich! Eat the rich! Eat the rich! Eat the rich! Eat the rich! There's never enough! There's never enough! There's never enough! There's never enough! Why is there never enough? Why is there never enough?more
