Giubiasco (Bells of Ticino)
A wonderful piece of music that recalls the story of King Frederick Barbarossa through the bells of Santa Maria Assunta. In the heart of Ticino, in Switzerland, lies the small village of Guibiasco with its parish church of Santa Maria Assunta. The bells of this church are the starting point for Aeoline's title "Giubiasco. The sound of these bells resounds along with this soundtrack, which tells the story of King Frederick Barbarossa, who travelled to Giubiasco in 1186 to grant the Locarno region the privilege of freedom. At the time, Giubiasco belonged to the county of Bellinzona and shared its history. more
