It's about a girl that I quite fancied but she let me know in no uncertain terms that we'd only be friends. Why, don’t you want to know me Why, don’t you really care Cause all I want to do is to get to know you All I want to do is to be a friend I try, try to make it easy But find, you’re running scared all I want to do is to get to know you All I want to do is to be a friend Instrument break Bridge There’s no need to cry Makes me wonder why You’re so sad in side, sad inside Why, don’t you want to know me Why, don’t you really care Cause all I want to do is to get to know you All I want to do is to be a friend Be a friend Be a friend Be a friend Be a friend more
