Black Blossoms
this is track 2 on the album Lotus. This intro is supposed to be the sonic follow-up to the track before it track 1 was a 13 minute super epic and this was orginally a 9 minute epic but we made a 7 minute verison with a exteneded intro with a trippy build up to a lead synth solo and then we had the lead guitarist and the bassist both my good friends and and i believe that day me and the guitarist were on another wave length this was our best rendition/take of "Black Blossoms" we had the other guy on bass and he had this hypnotic baseline that the other guy picked up on and i don't quite remeber super well but from what I remember that was our first take of the day we had done the song before so I knew what to do but for some reason since I was tripping balls i came in super like weird off beat almost seductive u can ever hear it in the fills it's super "out there" very odd but this song has a lot of weird time things going on with the fills and the grooves sound so proggy but also psychedelic and weird at the same time you can tell it's heavily Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Zappa inspired the whole album is really like this and Frantic Pilot my trance psychedelic album was taking that same concept but really making my own language with that I love making muisc with plot twists and lot of sections like a dream theatre but with weird expermential space rock improv shit but shout out to everyone invovleded in this song the bassist was really the one who popped off on this because his pscychedelic use is what made that weird high octave synth noise that stuff was all him i just put the foundation and the layered synths around that but the guitarist did really well as well even on this whole album he contruibted the legendary intro to lotus with his organ solo and lead guitar part super rock opera ish and i came in heavy with the synths and the insane transition and the atmospheric tones and carried us to the peak of the song where he belts out the cleanest guitar solo which goes into a drum solo and then that insane catchy riff he came up with and then from there the song explodes more
