You Made Me Sing
This song is a Celebration of Love and Friendship! The Inspiration is in The Song! - You see just a year ago I was just getting started with writing songs again. I couldn’t sing. I was shy and embarrassed. But this guy named Ufuk encouraged me to put my self out there and go for it. And I did. - Exactly One year ago Ufuk Çelik from UFCEBABA asked me about some song I wrote about the Native Peoples of North America called Ghost Dance. He liked it. We began a collaboration that has resulted in countless songs. - So in tribute to my friend Ufuk Çelik I have written this song for him to say… well, hopefully the song says it all… - Written, Performed, Recorded, and Produced by Scott A. Gradert - Lyrics: - You Made Me Sing - You made me sing You made me cry Tears of joy You made me try - To be me again To be free Brother do you see You inspire me And You made me sing - My songs unsung Then there was you You found the magic Made them all brand new For me to love again - Will our children recall The reason the rhymes Cuz in the end My Friend All that’s left behind Are just the memories Of forgotten space and time - And You made me sing - You made me brave You made me strong When I was sad You wrote me a song - Will our children recall The reason the rhymes Cuz in the end My Friend All that’s left behind Are just memories Of forgotten space and time - I could never say What you mean to me Perhaps in this song Brother do you see - You set me free You made me a song Brother do you see You set me free - To write songs Again And Again and Again And that’s And that’s why I wrote this song for you - Last words should never be goodbye - © 2025 Scott A. A Worker's Letter (7 Letters of Seas Maria's Letters End of Season 1 The Egg Song)
7 Letters of Seas - Maria's Letters - End of the Season 1 =============================================== #horizon : A Love #story Written in the Stars and the #sea =============================================== In the heart of a forgotten land, where even the devil himself would hesitate to tread, there lived a man named Horizon. He was not a man of grand titles or noble blood, but a laborer,a soul forged in the crucible of relentless toil and unyielding hardship. His hands were calloused, his back bent from years of carrying the weight of a world that had long since stopped noticing men like him. Yet, within his chest beat a heart that dared to dream, a heart that had fallen in love with a story,a story not his own, but one that had woven itself into the very fabric of his existence. This is the tale of Horizon, a man who loved not a person, but a legend,a legend of the sea, of freedom, and of a woman named María. And this is also the story of his own journey, a parallel narrative of struggle and redemption, where the lines between reality and myth blur into something extraordinary. =============================================== The Laborer’s Burden Horizon’s days began before the sun dared to rise. He worked in the bowels of the earth, in mines where the air was thick with dust and despair. The conditions were brutal,a relentless cycle of exhaustion, pain, and fleeting moments of rest. His fellow workers were shadows of men, their spirits crushed under the weight of their labor. But Horizon was different. He carried something within him that the darkness could not touch: a story. =============================================== It was a story he had heard whispered in the taverns, sung by wandering minstrels, and etched into the walls of his own mind. It was the story of María, a woman who had loved the sea so fiercely that she had surrendered herself to it. Her letters spoke of a love that was not possessive but liberating,a love that demanded courage and sacrifice. Horizon had never met María, but her words had found him, like a message in a bottle washed ashore just for him. =============================================== The Myth and the Man =============================================== María’s tale was one of defiance. She had lived in a village where the horizon was a boundary, not an invitation. But she had seen beyond it,not with her eyes, but with her soul. The sea had called to her, and she had answered, not as a prisoner, but as a lover. Her devotion was not to a person, but to the vast, untamed world that whispered to her. =============================================== Horizon saw himself in her story. He, too, was bound, not by the sea, but by the earth, by the mines, by the unending demands of survival. Yet, like María, he dreamed of something more. He dreamed of a horizon that was not a limit but a promise. And so, in the quiet moments between shifts, he would close his eyes and imagine himself standing on the shore, the salt air filling his lungs, the waves singing María’s name. His words were raw, unfiltered, and achingly beautiful. They were the cries of a man who refused to let his spirit be buried under the rubble of his labor. And though no one read them, though they were lost to the wind or tucked into the cracks of the mine walls, they existed. They were his rebellion. =============================================== The Love That Transcends =============================================== María’s love for the sea was not about possession; it was about surrender. Horizon’s love for her story was the same. He did not seek to own it or reshape it. He let it live within him, let it guide him, let it remind him that even in the darkest places, light could be found. =============================================== And so, Horizon’s life became an alternative narrative,a mirror to María’s. Where she had the sea, he had the earth. Where she had the wind, he had the silence of the mines. But both were bound by the same truth: love, in its purest form, is not always about holding on. Sometimes, it is about letting go,letting go of fear, of limits, of the belief that we are only what the world tells us we are. =============================================== The Horizon Beckons =============================================== Years passed. The mines did not change, but Horizon did. His body grew weaker, but his spirit grew stronger. And one day, when the weight of his labor finally became too much, he walked away. He did not know where he was going, only that he was answering a call, the same call María had heard. =============================================== He found himself standing on a cliff overlooking the sea. The wind carried the scent of salt and freedom. He closed his eyes and smiled. For the first time in his life, he understood María completely. He had loved her story, and in doing so, he had written his own. =============================================== Epilogue: The Greatest Love Stories =============================================== María’s letters told a story of liberation. Horizon’s life was the living proof of it. His tale is a reminder that love does not always wear the face of a person. Sometimes, it is the sea. Sometimes, it is the horizon. Sometimes, it is a story that finds you in the darkest of places and refuses to let you go. =============================================== And so, the greatest love stories are not always between two people. They are between a human heart and the vast, untamed world that whispers to it. They are between a laborer and the dream that keeps him alive. They are between María and the sea, Horizon and the sky, and every soul that dares to answer the call of the unknown. =============================================== For in the end, #love is not about possession. =============================================== By Ufuk Çelik (UFCEBABA)more
