“Let Me Think” by Trip Knowledge—an honest, dark lo-fi rap about racing thoughts, missed moments, and finding focus when your mind takes the long way around.more

We live in a strange time. Sometimes we want to know someone, talk to them, reconnect with them… but instead, we watch, we search, we stalk a little, connect the dots, and fill in the blanks until we’ve created an entire world that might not even exist. ‎ Is It Our Time is about that loop. A conversation doesn’t have to lead somewhere good. It just has to lead somewhere real. Because wherever it takes us, at least it takes us out of the story we’ve been telling ourselves. And even if reality turns out to be nothing like what we hoped for, at least it lets us move forward. ‎ ============================ ‎ [VERSE] Sometimes you end up looking too far One little search becomes another You ask a machine what else it knows And somehow find more than you wanted ‎ [CHORUS] Is it our time that made us this? What's the point of all of this? Is it our time that made us this? ... ‎ [VERSE] You made an account I wouldn't know Changed my name where your contacts show You watch my stories through someone else Looking for things I never said ‎ [CHORUS] Is it our time that made us this? What's the point of all of this? Is it our time that made us this? Why don't we just talk? ‎ [VERSE] A picture doesn't tell you why A like can't tell you what's on my mind Your hurt can make my silence speak My pride can do the same to you ‎ [PRE-CHORUS] We build a person from what we see Then blame them for what we believe ‎ [CHORUS] Is it our time that made us this? What's the point of all of this? Is it our time that made us this? Why don't we just talk? ‎ [CHORUS] Is it our time that made us this? Come ask me what you want to know Is it our time that made us this? I'll ask you what I need to know Is it our time that made us this? We don't know where a talk may lead Is it our time that made us this? But somewhere is better than a loopmore
