Tyra V. McKinzie is a gifted multi-genre songwriter/musician born in Takoma Park, Maryland. She attended school in Washington, DC. Tyra continues to write uplifting songs in all genres. In August of 2020, she was given the opportunity to write a campaign song for the Biden/Harris ticket entitled “Stand Up”. The video for “Stand Up” can be viewed on her YouTube channel as well as streamed on all digital outlets. In December of 2020 she graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude) with an Associate’s Degree in Film Production from the Northern Virginia Community College. Her goal is to write, direct, and produce soundtracks for her own movies and documentary films as well as writing jingles for television/streaming commercials. Tyra has recently co-produced at song entitled “Christmas Holiday” that will be featured in a Christmas movie entitled “A Family Matters Christmas” which features Kellie S. Williams and Jo Marie Payton of the iconic pop culture tv show hit (Family Matters).
