The result of years of homemade recordings and unfinished projects, Aoidos was created in late 2019, between cups of mead at the iconic Taberna 58. With a Soundcloud full of unused riffs, Freitas (guitar / voice) found in drummer Victor Gonzalez someone who could help him accomplish the old dream of taking his songs to the stage. The first jams took place at Victor's house, conveniently located above the aforementioned tavern, and shortly afterwards they moved into a rehearsal room. Only one year after that did Ekid, an old friend of Freitas, go on to become Aoidos’ bassist. With the band stabilized as a trio, the rehearsals became more frequent and talks to release something began. "From The Surface Grate" is the band's first original song and, with 2 more songs already written and a mountain of ideals, an EP will be coming soon. “Aoidos” means bards in Ancient Greek, and like the bards of old, our purpose is to tell stories, but through the Dark Arts of Metal!
