Aubvrn is the creative outlet of Liverpool musician Lee Carmichael.
Initially inspired by heavier music Lee played and created music for punk, metal and djent bands.
During the covid lockdown Lee was inspired by a new interest in more alternative rock bands such as Hers, DMAS, Tame Impala and The War on Drugs to create something different and armed with a humble home studio, Aubvrn was formed.
Refining their sound over the subsequent 2 years and eventually entering Kempston Street Studios (formerly Parr St) Autumn 2023 to start the final recording process, Aubvrn is now ready to see the light of day.
Enlisting the help of Producer and Engineer Alex Quinn (The Royston Club, The Lottery Winners) Aubvrn have crafted a dreamy yet optimistic soundscape inspired by 90’s shoegaze and the sound of the 70’s with a solid rhythm section that nods towards the likes of Tame Impala & Foster the People.
