Billy Savage began his musical journey singing in church, playing the trumpet, and then learning bass guitar in junior high. He joined a band with his friend Avi Bortnick and played school dances and local events. Along with Harry Miller and Calvin Bell, they formed the Horizon band, and played in local clubs, and promoted a concert at the high school. Expanding their music further, they formed a Jazz Fusion band called Miraj, and played locally. After high school, Billy briefly attended Webster University, where he studied with classmates Kirk Capello, Terry Jackson and Tony Saputo. He soon left on the road from St Louis to LA with the pop new wave group Neuveux. In between gigs, he worked at Ignited Productions and the Village Recorder as an assistant engineer and synth programmer. After 15 years playing clubs in LA, Vegas, Laughlin NV and Phoenix, Billy took a side trip into audio engineering for film and television. Building a home studio, he wrote, produced and recorded.
