Being a quiet kid in a non-musical family, Brandt Parks discovered his love for music in his late teens. He fell in love with the story-telling of folk music and the hooky melodies of radio-hits, which he began to blend to create his own style.
Shortly after teaching himself to play guitar and ukulele, he wrote and recorded his first song. He submitted it to the 2014 Inertia Sound Studio Songwriting Competition and won 4th place. In the summer of 2015 he auditioned for the televised singing competition “The Voice”. Performing for the very first time, he made it through the open call auditions. This gave him the confidence to seek out formal music education which landed him at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA where he refined his skills as a songwriter and further developed his artistic identity.
Brandt Parks released his debut single "Twisted" in October 2019. His newest single, Blood in the Breeze, drops February 5th 2021.
