CW Labelle fell in love with music from the first night the Beatles appeared in black and white on the Ed Sullivan show. He started singing live at a young age accompanied by his dad who was a proficient piano, accordion and horn man. He is a primarily self-taught musician that sings and plays drums, piano, guitar, bass, keyboards, ukulele and many other unconventional noise makers. CW plays all the instruments on his albums. He grew up in Calgary, Canada and had the great fortune to tour in a new wave band and hang around with many talented musicians in the early 80s. He was reinvigorated in the 2000’s when his talented daughters took to song (check out the artist “Jasii”) and enjoyed a decade plus of attending the shows of fledgling alternative rock bands as they worked their way out of obscurity. His influences are many and varied crossing a number of genres. His own original music is also diverse from ballads to hard rock with an acute focus on telling a relatable story.
