Sean Kilcoyne began his musical career at the age 6 when he received A zippy zither as a Christmas present. At the age of 9 he memorized all the lyrics to the long version of Rapper’s Delight, and soon after performed his first original (rap) song on stage in 3rd grade. At age 10 he absconded his sister’s My First Sony drum machine/ cassette recorder, and started making his own songs, with the hope of becoming the 4th Beastie Boys someday. At age 16, Sean was given a guitar by his church and tasked to lead music during Sunday school and youth band school. The first song he learned was American Pie (all 8 minutes and 32 seconds of it!). Soon after he began to play at local open mics and started his first band (Bugg Superstar) with friends from high school. At 19 he started a band (Piccolo Music) with some of the youths he was mentoring in a local youth group. They soon became a SACPOP sensation and recorded their CD, B612.
