Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, USA, Chris Newcomb is a singer/songwriter with a knack for interesting and engaging lyrics shrouded in a musical landscape decorated with early influences such as KISS, Elvis, and Kenny Rogers in the early 80's. As he grew in his musical development, he added artists like Sting, Elton John, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Prince to name just a few. He is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass, drums, keys, and sings. In a seemingly accidental YouTube guitar theory video in December 2011, Chris stumbled on how to write songs using a certain guitar scale. He got up at 5 am just about every day for a year and ended up with 100 songs. In 2023, he will be releasing his debut record on his own label Open-A-CAN records.
