Amsterdam

Chrisma was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She has a background in variety of disciplines in music, singing and songwriting. She started playing keys when she was 9 years old and started singing at the age of 12. From that age she started writing songs. When she could afford piano lessons, she focused on her music and started playing in rockbands around the Netherlands from once to twice a week. In 2009, She got accepted to a music school in Amsterdam, where she became 'top of the class'. After that in 2010, Chrisma moved to Sydney, Australia to study Contemporary Music. There she recorded her first acoustic song, called "Awe". Moving back to Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 2013, she recorded her song "Awe" live with a rockband. In 2014, she got discovered by a producer in South-America, whilst living and performing there. There she got to sing & perform a mix of her own songs and coverbands. Her influences are playing rock(ballads), alternative and house music.
