I began my musical journey at 14 by playing the Alto saxophone. At the end of high school I decided to pursue music as a career. I did an undergrad in composition at Stellenbosch University. I began my undergrad thinking about pursuing a degree in classical saxophone performance, but decided to redirect into composition. It was during this time I realised I loved composing for films. I have been in Wind bands and Jazz bands throughout high school and Undergrad. I studied a masters in film scoring at The film scoring academy of Europe where I graduated with First-class honours. It was during this time that I completed 15 recording sessions and grew my love for film and contemporary media scoring
