Trap and dubstep artist Dxgger makes the most of a post-genre world with powerful beats and heavy aesthetics. Beginning on FL Studio, he now works with a combination of beatmaking and production as he straddles the line between music and sound design. As Dxgger, Jayson Smith is inspired by acts like Marauda, Svdden Death, and Midnight Tyrannosaurus; his determination to enjoy the process and reluctance to pigeonhole himself have brought forward an organic combination of sound art and more established musical scenes. Whether in the dance inspired Raven EP or the crafted noise of Phasmophobia, Dxgger constantly seeks to take his work down new avenues.
