Em is a British singer songwriter and has been writing music for over 15 years.
With a love of the guitar and piano, Em has developed a style of acoustic pop throughout the years. Em has been influenced by her eclectic taste in music; with a passion for 90’s pop and rock, as well as country and indie, her sound has been described as akin to those such as Alanis Morissette, The Corrs and Natalie Imbruglia.
Em has written many songs, inspired heavily by her greatest loves in life including people and the world, as well as her life mantra of ‘pursue what makes you happy’. Em’s music is honest and pure, and is produced by a woman who uses her experiences to influence her art.
Em has a plethora of musical experience including conducting choirs, musical theatre performance, and vocal tutoring.

Sitting Too Long in the Sun
I wrote a first draft of this song when I was fifteen years old, but recently re-wrote the second and third verses and am really proud of the message this song has.
Musically, it’s got a country vibe and the lyrics hold a strong message about the world we live in today, challenging ignorance, arrogance, social media, the media in general and the idea that we’re all just living in a ‘Cabaret of what to say’. The easy thing to do would be to turn a blind eye to the segregation and demoralisation going on in the world... this song is about how we’ve all been ‘sitting too long in the sun’.
Communication is key right now, so naturally I’m communicating my thoughts and feelings through music. I hope you enjoy, Em x more
