Ezmerelda is a diy collaboration between indie veterans Kianna Alarid White (Tilly & the Wall) and Cale Parks (Yeasayer, Aloha). The duo formed in the final months of 2021, drawing on influences like Fever Ray, Siouxsie and the Banshees (with Budgie), and early M.I.A.
Combining elements of their high intensity live shows with art-rock improvisation, Kianna and Cale took to the basement to self produce their brand of industrial, drum heavy electro-pop in the fall of 2021. The result was a collection of immediately realized dance tracks that will make up the duo's debut EP. Ezmerelda self-released their confidently apprehensive anthemic debut single, I’m So Nervous on January 7, 2022.
