Gehra

Cape Town

Gehra is the musical project of South African Industrial Psychologist and lifelong explorer Gerhard Schröder. After nearly four decades studying leadership, human behaviour and personal growth, he turned to music to explore the questions that unite us all. His debut concept album, Questions!, blends Existential Cinematic Rock with progressive influences, orchestral textures and reflective storytelling, taking listeners on a journey through consciousness, identity, love, time, purpose and hope. Rather than offering answers, Gehra invites curiosity and wonder. Inspired by artists such as Kansas, Alan Parsons Project, Nightwish and Vangelis, his music combines cinematic soundscapes with thoughtful lyrics to create an immersive listening experience. For Gehra, every song begins with a question, and every question is an invitation to discover something new.
