Native to Southern Pines, NC, Braxton Isaiah Hatcher is a hip-hop artist and lyricist, creating music under his independent record label Old North Entertainment. Born to a singer and a man who loved hip-hop, he didn’t take long to get inspired. Braxton inherited the love for music from his mother, who taught him how to use music as a tool to empower. At age 7, Braxton’s parents split up, an event that angered and frustrated him to the core. Bewildered, he didn’t know how to cope with the pain and the trauma that followed. However, at age 12, Braxton found the perfect retreat; he began to write about his struggles and obstacles and felt reborn. From his early years, Braxton listened to old-school hip-hop artists like Andre 3000, Dr. Dre, Wu-Tang Clan, NWA, Fat Joe, and Jay Z, exploring the work of legends to craft his unique voice and style. Living in Morrow, GA, Braxton raps for himself, his soul, and ones who yearn to break free from adversities.
