++ Ultra is a side project virtual band by Jason Vander Griendt. All songs written (except covers) and performed by Jason Vander Griendt. All recording, engineering and mastering is done by Jason Vander Griendt at his simple 2nd bedroom home studio using the latest version of Reaper DAW software and a million plugins that make me sound good :) Instruments: Guitars: Gibson SG/Fender JagStang (for that grungy crunch!) Bass: Fender Jaguar Drums: Addictive Drums 3 (MIDI Drum Machine) The name ++ Ultra comes from an inspiration to the story of Ferdinand Magellan, the 1st man to sail around the world. When trying to raise money from the royalty of Portugal for his expedition, they told him that America is 'Ultra', the Portugese word for maximum. They thought America was the edge of the earth. Magellan said to them 'I will go + ULTRA!'....so this is ++ Ultra. In other words, what happens when you go further than what you thought was already beyond the limits?
