Jc & the Disciples: Jc Whitelaw (Recording Artist/Songwriter/Guitarist) has had a musical career that spans four decades and genres from Rhythm & Blues to Motown, from Americana to his passion, Rock and Roll. As a songwriter and guitarist, he has worked with greats who include Carlos Alomar, Earl Klugh, Anita Baker, and record producing giants like Gerard Smerek, Greg Ladanyi, and Michael J. Powell. He is the founding member of bands that include Ash Can Van Gogh, The Broken Toys, and The Forbes Brothers. He has been the recipient of more than 2 dozen Detroit Music Awards and Nominations. Most recent nominations in the 2022 DMA's for Best Record Producer and Guitarist. J.C. & the Disciples is a Blues Based Rock n Roll band from Detroit Mi. “Hammered” their debut concept album, was released in May of 2019 and nominated for "Outstanding Album" in the 2021 Detroit Music Awards
