I began playing drums at 8 years old and piano around 10. I have been in a variety of small bands, ranging in style from jazz; rock to heavy and technical metal. I quickly gained my Grade 8 on drums and 5 on piano, finding solace in music as a quiet and introverted man. It wasn't until the Covid Pandemic that I found my voice as a composer. I was always predominantly a rhythmic cog in other people's bands. I was seldom allowed to contribute ideas myself, so the lockdown proved invaluable to me. I was able to write around 27 songs, mostly in the style of 80s New Wave (often with progressive elements.) Music provides a lifeline to me as it has to so many before me. It has been the one constant in times of joy and through times of sorrow. When struggling with my mental health and often grappling with feelings of inferiority, I hoped somebody would take comfort from my tracks, as they are crafted with healing in mind.
