West Nippissing

Jean-Marc Michaud brings his ideas to life with his debut album, a collection written over the span of his younger years in Ontario, Canada. It is an examination of his life and priorities; juxtaposing the small world treasures with larger than life fantasies and discovering that the big picture of living a good life, which is implicitly explored in “Little Things” is found within the former. Moreover, songs like “It Keeps Me Alive”, “Friends” and “The Word Love” dive in seemingly universally understood mindsets which are often overlooked and thus taken for granted by the best of us. The title track “With You in Mind” is the bow that ties everything together, a dedication of his outpouring to the family he loves. “With You in Mind” is essentially a pop album with flairs of rock, folk and blues that is foundationally written to be sung and performed acoustically while colorfully layered with harmonies inspired by unparalleled music legends like Jacob Collier, John Mayer and Matt Cor
