Born in the Copper Coast, 2 hours north of Adelaide, Jamie Newton is a Contemporary Country Music Singer/Songwriter who projects powerful vocals and mixes them with melodic acoustic guitar playing, emotive and thoughtful songwriting and a flair to entertain. Jamie has an easy going nature being raised in the coastal country town of Wallaroo and this persona projects into his music style. Born diagnosed deaf at 15 months old, Jamie went through 16 years of surgeries, speech therapy and lots of pain but it is during this time, Jamie found an affinity of music, being raised listening to music at family gatherings, in the home and everywhere in between. Jamie was influenced by such bands as the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Beach Boys, David Bowie and many more classics and found a way to make the most of the deficiencies handed to him and used techniques of focus and active listening skills to develop an ear for music.
