Jimmy Wright Jr. is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and arranger presently living in Regina, Saskatchewan, performing from age 15. At 22 Jimmy joined Edmonton's One Horse Blue to tour, play lead guitar and sing on their third album Living on the Edge. Toronto beckoned where Jimmy studied audio-engineering and production at Trebas Institute of Recording Arts. Toronto in the 1980's saw Jimmy exploring the Roland GR-300 guitar synthesizer in three bands, State of the Art, Exposure and Fourth Wall. Many of the themes of Jimmy's songs at this time were of a darker nature. Inspired by the metropolitan vibes and political times. One such Exposure song, "Serious Matters", was chosen and released on a Toronto radio Q-107's Homegrown album. The 90's found Jimmy and Fourth Wall drummer Derek Morgan relocating to Vancouver where they formed the band Population. Jimmy then moved back to his roots and released two solo albums Lucky Dog and Let's Move On.
