Eve Ashton Yates (born on September 24, 1993), better known by her stage name Lil Aston, is an American rapper/singer from San Francisco, CA. She is the cousin of Kandice Love. Yates was born in San Francisco, CA, United States, and was partially raised in the Lakeview district up until 11 years-old. After which, her mother moved her to Oakland, CA--which she'd already frequented due to her aunt moving there in 2000. She attended Encinal High School in Alameda, CA, and graduated with a 3.8 GPA. Yates received offers from St. John's University and LIU Brooklyn on an academic scholarship, but decided not to attend and enroll in community college instead. At age 21, she began to take her music seriously, and create a social media presence.
