The name is Luke James Bruce. Born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta. I spent my summers on my Grandpa and Grandmas farm as a kid. My roots are stuck down deep here in Southern Alberta. Songwriting is my pass time when I’m not busy with family life. I am happily married with 2 awesome kiddos. My inspiration comes from family, and my personal experiences in life growing up. The genre of country music in my writing is a staple for me. Once I became more established and fine tuned my passion, I joined a band called Doublejack. We played hard rock/metal tunes. I played bass and provided vocal harmonies in the act. We had some highlights as an opening act for the likes of Default, Helix, My Darkest Days, Corb Lund, and Washboard Union to name a few. Currently I am working on my own album and will be releasing it this year. My Album will be called “Southern Berta’ Blues”. Trevor Christensen (El Mule) is piloting the project and it should be completed in time for Fall.
