MDGE is an autonomous audio lab and polymorphic music project based in Melbourne, Australia. Operating without genre borders or fixed vocal registers, MDGE constructs high-contrast sonic worlds defined by visceral rhythm pockets, polyrhythmic weight, and uncompromising dynamic swings.
The project moves fluidly across the heavy sonic spectrum: from 8-string progressive metal riffs and abrasive post-punk sludge, to rapid-fire chopper rap, 178 BPM all-vocal neurofunk rollers, and sub-heavy UK garage. Rather than committing to a single musical category, MDGE is unified by raw tactile friction—treating human anatomy, clicking teeth, wet saliva, and strained breath as acoustic percussion engines colliding with relentless mechanical precision.
Across every transmission, MDGE rejects predictable formulas in favor of authentic human tension, heavy low-end fundamentals, and biological hardware running hot past factory tolerances.
