That also describes his music. One of Man Tau's characteristics is a certain kind of melancholic happiness, expressed through his remarkable voice. In a world where everything seems to be striving for perfection, he wants to bring back the human element into music, without sounding old-fashioned. Musically his sound very much derives from the 60s and 70s, but modern influences also can’t be denied. That's what makes his sound vintage, yet modern.
